Last weekend saw the 6th Edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria in the Seychelles. Known internationally as the “Carnaval of Carnavals”, this years colourful display truely lived up to its title, offering the perfect blend of cultures, local rhythms, high energy and most importantly plenty of dancing throughout the streets of Victoria.
The team at Le Nautique Seychelles were lucky enough to be invited to both the spectacular opening ceremony and the VIP tent of Carnaval itself where we enjoyed the best seats in the house. It was our first Carnaval here in the Seychelles and one we are sure to never forget.
We were just blown away by the shear scale of the festivities and the way it seamlessly united all people, culture and religion. A fantastic and true representation of what the Seychelles Islands and its friendly people are renowned for.
Let us take you on a photographic journey of all of our personal highlights of the Carnaval and we hope that you can join us next year for some more fun and festivities.
