New Years Resolutions: Seychelles Eco Marathon

Bonzour readers and Happy New Year to you all! We hope you had a wonderful festive season and that you partied your way into 2017 as we did!

You may have seen from our social media feeds that we hosted a huge Christmas lunch at Anse Royale this year with some of our closest family and friends (including UK celebrity psychic Sally Morgan). As with any Christmas lunch (and I am sure yours are the same), there was far too much food and “festive cheer” enjoyed, and this trend seemed to continue right through to 1st January 2017… yikes!

Feeling a bit sluggish after all the fun and festivities, we now look towards healthy New Years resolutions to get us back in shape (or at least to whatever shape we were pre-Christmas 2016!), so we figured lets start the year with a blog on the Seychelles Eco Marathon happening 26th February 2017. What’s better way to tick off your New Years resolution AND have a tropical island holiday at the same time?

Started in 2008, the Seychelles Eco Marathon provides a unique opportunity for runners from across the globe to not only experience running through some of the most amazing and beautiful scenery on Earth, but also enjoy a unique opportunity to enhance mind, body and soul in harmony with nature.

Arguably one of the most stunning marathon courses in the World, the Seychelles course starts at Beau Vallon Beach and meanders down the east coast of the main island of Mahe through virgin forest-covered hillsides and along the golden stretches of sand and the azure inviting waters of the Indian Ocean.

If you don’t feel up the full marathon, there is a half marathon course heading down the West coast of Mahe, plus a 10km and 5km run which are popular options for kids and walkers.

So what are you waiting for? If you love to run and want to tick off your New Years Resolution AND explore the Seychelles Islands, then dust off your running shoes and visit www.seychelles-marathon.com for further information.

If you have any questions regarding the Seychelles, how to get here, where to stay etc. then please do not hesitate to visit our website www.lenautique.sc or contact us via our social media pages or at [email protected].
